All, I'm trying to display an RSS feed on the ELGG front page. I've created a custom page, ans actually have the PHP to display an RSS feed, but it fails to work each time. I'm afraid I'm not quite versed on how to integrate dynamic elements there yet. Has anyone been successful is DISPLAYING the content of an RSS feed on the front page? I have found an RSS agreggator for the spotlight, which works, but is not what I'm seeking. Any help or guidance is much appreciated.

Speak to vazco about it if he is still around but he has been quiet for a long time now...
@Thom I'm using the "custom index" plugin on my site, had no problem embedding a javascript rss feed in the external pages editor .
You can see it here, the feed is on the left of the page right under the demo account information. (it's in hebrew)
@Susan - thank you! I did the same, created a bit of PHP script w/ CURL to get the RSS. Sorta' hacky, but works out fine.
@TH
not dare call the curl based "rss" parser/reader "hacky" ;-)
i once had problem with the "real" rss feed which was *corrupting the data from the actual page supposed to be rss'ed... resorted to curl on the web-page, parsed the needed data and ;-) ;-O client was q happy.
