Elgg does not track IP addresses, although I suppose that a plugin could add that.

So, administrators could have a look to it in order of spammers, suicide attentions and so on.
I'm running elgg on an external server .. so, I haven't access to apache log files ..
most (almost all 99%) 'external servers *do give access to your own site's apache log files' data, usually conveniently via AwStats etc; and also raw access logs. you should check into that.
Ahhh .. yes .. you're right .. I've never looked to that feature ^^ thx
But, would be nice, to see IP adress directly in post, without parsing long apache log files :)
