I have discovered a strange problem - I haven't seen any others having this issue, but maybe someone in here can help?
If I select to be notified whenever one of my friends add something to the site, then I do get a message - but this message is very sticky, it remains unread and impossiple to delete.
I havent touched the notifications plugin, so everything is standard 1.5 code.
Any ideas on what's causing this?
Update: admin can delete notifications, but nobody else..

Actually they can be deleted. You need to put a check mark in the box next to the notification, then click (I believe) the delete button at the bottom of the messages.
The Red x button on the right side of the notification doesn't work, so that needs to be addressed.
clicking delete in the message doesn't seem to work for me most of the time. The x never did.
There is an updated plugin called messages written by Cash I am thinking that will fix all of your problems. It is here http://community.elgg.org/pg/plugins/costelloc/read/46066/messages
Worked for me. Thanks!
Hi
Thanks for the suggestions, but I have allready updated my messages-plugin to the version 1.5.1 that solves the deletetion problem.
It's the notification messages that cannot be deleted and remains unread no matter what. Normal messages from user to user does not have this problem!
Nobody else have problems with the notifications plugin?
It looks like the notifications plugin sends out messages to which the user has no rights to delete or modify (mark as read).
Only admin is allowed to delete and mark his notifications as read.
Bump...
