When ever people want to sign up on my own social community, they simple sign up. But afterwards when they click "Register" they will get this error:
IOException
Unable to save new object's base entity information!
I have tried to disable the Add-on plugins that were downloaded after the installation, but it wont fix the problem. I have been searching on Google for this problem, but I didn't find something to fix the problem.
Any ideas to fix this?
Try disabling the default widgets plugin. We have fixed the issue for a site by disabling that plugin. If you too have that issue, then we think that it should be reported to the trac.
@Cash: does this mean that upgrading to Elgg 1.7.13 is a no-go? Should we stay on Elgg 1.7.11?
Unfortunately, yes. 2 bad releases in a row all due to the same change. Gory details here: http://trac.elgg.org/ticket/3722 and the ticket above.
Are there any files that should be deleted when downgrading to 1.7.11 from 1.7.13??
No files newly introduced between Elgg 1.7.11 and .13. Also no files removed. So, you should be able to simply overwrite everything.
1.7.13 has been pulled from the download page. I've also fixed the issues. Any nightlies available here after (but not including) 2011-10-19 will have the fixes. Testing by community members would be great to make sure this release actually fixes the issues with 1.7.12 and 1.7.13.
Things to look out for:
