Summary:

Select your site theme without enabling/disabling/reordering plugins

Full description:

Thematic - theme switcher

(Edit your project's description!)

Release notes:

This lets you more easily choose from installed themes.  Any installed themes will appear in a popup list in thematic plugin's "more info" settings in the tool administration panel.  The selected theme will automatically be enabled and moved to the bottom of the plugin list.

You may need to force a refresh of your browser page in order to see the new theme.

This version properly handles deleted active themes and Elgg 1.5's view cacheing.

Hi greate ideea it is possible to let the users chose a them for it selfs? Like to chose a language.

It might be possible by leaving all theme plugins disabled and then leaving it up to the thematic init code to manually load the required user theme.  Haven't tried it, so don't know how well it would work.  Elgg has to recognize the per-user theme plugin as being enabled, but only for the current page load.  Not sure if that's possible.

I agree with twitface - I wish you wonderful plugin creators would put your plugins in ZIP format and not in TAR - Can someone suggest where I can get a FREE program to extract tar files? THANKS!  Lee-vit-Over@hotmail.com

winzip works with TAR as well as ZIP files... but I guess you have sorted this by now.
