@Daniel: ELGG 1.8.1 is not ready for public releast. Once its available, TidyPics will be avilable for 1.8.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it was never said that Tidypics would be immediately available for Elgg 1.8 after Elgg 1.8.1 will have been released. It was only said that there won't be a 1.8 version of Tidypics before the release of Elgg 1.8.1. So please don't be too disappointed in case it doesn't happen soon - maybe it does, but maybe not. It sure will get released "when it's done"...

Just to notify that version 1.7.3 does not work on my site (using 1.7.14). I get a HTTP 404 error with the flash player and it also disable file uploading via the fild upload uption. Regular upload does not work either however 1.7.2 works pefectly.

Not sure if others have the same problem.

Version currently using: Elgg 1.7.14

                                Tidypics 1.7.2

I'm still having this problem with the flash uploader

Im having an issue with the flash uploader in Elgg 1.8. When choosing photos in the "add photos to gallery"  process, I select choose photos. But when clicking open, there is no indication that the plugin is working (no thumbnails, or indication of number of photos selected etc appear), and the 2. Upload Photos, and 3) Describe Photos links remain grayed out.... although they still work if you select them. When selecting upload there is no indication of progress on the uploads, so its hard to tell when its done. Also I set the file size at 8MB in the settings, but all picutres larger than 4 MB fail to upload.

The non-flash uploader appears to work well.

I'm using the Version 1.8.1 of ELGG, and the Purity theme. I have tried Chrome, Safari, and Firefox on OSX.

As mentioned before, if you are having difficulty with the Flash uploader, please post browser information and the value of "Cookie only sessions" from the Tidypics server analysis.

Hi all,

i am using facebook theme on elgg 1.8.1 and my website is near completion at http://www.pak4u.com/pakbook/. What i am facing right now is few bugs in tidy pics plugin which i suppose have resulted because tidy pics is still not up to date with elgg 1.8. The problems are:

1. Once i try to open slideshow in some album, it loads and gives an error that album not found at that link.

2. Photo tagging does not work.

3. Flash uploader does not work.

4. Tidy pics administration link and server analytics or settings link gives a blank white page.

can anyone be of some help on this.

I have disabled facebook theme and checked this plugin with elgg 1.8.1 and it works perfectly fine except the slideshow which gives an error on load.

It seems to have activated just fine for me, but whenever I go to More-Photos, I get a blank screen that says Cannot find server and "http://photos/all/" in the url bar. I know its a setting that I've overlooked. Any help would be appreciated :)

Tidyboys, How do you fix this Cookie Only Sessions? is it able to be disabled and would that effect anything if it was? because everytime I use the flash uploader now I get HTTP error using the Lastest Opera Browser...

The Uploadify multiple files' issue is caused by a bug with *Flash regarding *session cookies.

Ideally what they need to do is use a different uploader like that Pupload because that works using flash or a variety of other options and even resizes the image using the power of the users pc rather than GD/IMAGICK on the host server... can't Java/ajax do that? I also think tidypics needs a few extra new developers god I wish I could help... But I need to learn PHP etc first! The photo uploading and displaying handled by tidypics is a core component of any social network so this should be the most active and developed plugin in the elgg universe! But it doesn't seem so :(
