Hi i installed the plugin works fine just not seeing an update on the Dashboard river! e.g John Smith is now friends with Jane Smith. Running elgg 1.5 had the previous moderation plugin installed. Thanks! Great plugin

Another question:

When a new user registers, I cannot add him as friend until he didn't save the friends moderation settings.

Can someone reproduce this bug?

Awesomeplugin, so glad this is working in 1.5!!!! Thanks. I too would like the option of setting all users settings to default to friendship moderation. It would also be nice if there was a visual notification that a user has a friend request. Also a notification in my inbox saying jo bloggs has requested to be your friend. I also noticed that there is nothing in the river that indicated i have befriended someone.

Er not sure whats happening here but when I add a friend I get the white screen If I then or click the back button or refresh the page, it works. This was tested on my V1.5 test site. Any clues as the is an  amazing plugin for us for us an quite essential for my users

To set the default settings to moderation, you need to go to: views > default >frms > settingsform.php

Edit the fifth line where it says $value='nomoderation'; and change it to $value='moderation';

This should do it :)

However, the receiver of a friend request doesn't get a message, even if moderation is on.

Maybe I did something wrong with the install. Or did somebody else encounter the same thing?

there is a problem that you can keep adding a friend as many times as you want and it doesn't say, friendship requested or something like that...

Yes, this is quite what I mean! Until the user you want to add does not save his settings, you cannot add him!

I guess the reason is that the database needs to be updated for each user before the plugin can work.

hi i am using this mod with 1.2 version of elgg.. but i have a slight issue... i hope u can help me with this...

i have installed this plug in and also the invite friends plugin..

now.. if any of my site members invite thier friend, then he has been invited directly by the member so should become his friend as soon as he clicks on the refernce link and joins the website...

but this does not happen.. since i have installed this plugin..

can u plz help me wht can be done abt this...

Hi Gleb, yes i too encountered the same problem where the user has to save his settings first, which is obviously not ideal as they dont necessarily even know that setting exists, hence the point of having a default setting. PS Thanks for your help on changing my defaul setting to moderation worked perfectly. Now all we need is to sort this last issue and the plugin will be close to perfect.

I've changed the CSS layout a bit and installing the moderation plugin on elgg 1.5 it moves the chat icon a little to the right of the screen and it's ruining the layout.

Is there any such overriding styles or echo'ing to the top menu which could cause that?

When I go to Settings I see the Friends Moderation link, but when I enter any of the Settings the link dissappear. The only way to have it back is clicking on the Settings link in the top bar.

When you click "Add Friend" on someones profile, it works but thats it. It should do a pop up javascript box of (Thanks, you will have to wait for that person to approve your request). Then the button should change to "Friend Request Pending..." Its decieving.

That means that mod "friends of friends" is changing something with that function, and its pullings something it doesn't exist. Re-order your plugins so this plugin is BEFORE that one.
