which elgg version are you running?
@ Jlx, the problem is because this plugin is developed in elgg 1.7 and you may be using elgg version less than 1.7. In elgg version < 1.7 the extend view function is like extend_view('metatags','webgalli_mails/metatags');
1.6 as i am unable to upgarde whitout loosing all users photos and so on.
But worked great after i removed that line.
@jlx : there is no need to remove that line. you just need to remove the "elgg_" prefix from elgg_extend_view('metatags','webgalli_mails/metatags');

and i got the same characters in may mail.
Regarding the tinymce issue, i am on elgg 1.7 and whatever link i put in the message field, i am getting it as clickable.
will this work on 1.7 ??

I am newbie here, and I installed 1.7 on mysite, I try message mailout on it, it will send the message but the receiver will not receive it.

the mails are going to spam folder!How can we handle this?Having such a great feature will go in vein if its not reaching the inbox of the members.

Can this send HTML messages with pictures and links in it ?
Sim, not checked it. I think the answer is no, because it will strip the html tags.
Webgalli, how to use this with google application / smtp server ?

great plugin but strips html so cannot be used as a site news letter just an mass email which is fine if that is what you want Works well
@Malaga, the html stripping is occurring in the actions file. you can modify it to avoid that.

The mails I send just go to the spam folder
How do you avoid that?
There is nothing this plugin can do to prevent the mails from going to spam box. You can have a look at the wiki for more details http://docs.elgg.org/wiki/Email_and_spam_filters
