Announcement Pages for Elgg 1.7

Have announcements posted into different pages

Last updated 937 days ago

This version of the famous Announcements Plugin (http://community.elgg.org/pg/plugins/release/429009/developer/web100/announcements) allows you to create announcement pages and then relate each entry to one of the this pages. Each page will be added to the tools menu for a faster navigation.

INSTALLATION:

>unzip the file

>drop it into mod directory

>enable it into Admin tools

ADMIN

> go to Admin tools

> 'Manage Announcements' option into the sidebar

Hope this helps!

Condiminds Team.

    works for me in 1.7.4..

i thought from the description that the plugin would allow the creation and addition of announcement widgets to existing pages. instead it allows the creation of totally new pages which contain specific announcements and that are made accessible via the users' drop down menu in the topbar.

    Hi,

Nice addition.  Installed easily (1.7.1) and was exactly what I anticipated.

Does somebody know, how can I change / translate the calendar into German?

If you're using the Elgg calendar input ->
    /vendors/calendarpopup/CalendarPopup.js
has the month and weekday names (in English only)
which could be translated to other languages,
perhaps contingent on the User's language settings.

    @DhrupDeScoop

    Thank you,

    another question.

Announcements are visible for everybody, also for guests. How can I make the Plugin only for members (if they are logged in) obviously?

    Regards

    Tom

How can I embed the announcements as a widget on my main paige? it doesn't appear in my "index widgetisation" where I configure which widgets are shown on the landing page.

    Thanks
