Also, did you try F12 in IE? It allows you to switch between browser standards and compatibility modes. I imagine your theme resets it to Quirks Mode. The above should fix that however.
RJCalifornia: Look for "IE tester". You can test your layout in every version of IE since IE4. Helps me a lot.
