Hi,
Even with this new version I am still having difficulty getting playback to work on iOS devices (iPhone / iPad).
Here is a public example:
http://odyssey.bendigochurchofchrist.com/file/view/53/newbunny
I get the following error:
"The video could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported: http://odyssey.bendigochurchofchrist.com/file/download/53/bunny.mp4"
Note that this is different to the error that I got with the pervious version. The previous error didn't include the last part of the filename (eg bunny.mp4).
Has anyone had any success using this plugin to play videos on an iOS device?
Thanks
@stoz. Yes, you're right. Although .mp3 seems to work fine. I have discovered what's causing this, let me look into it to see if I can fix it.
Cheers!
how do ya find the mod folder?
Any luck with iOS video playback yet Rip?
You said that you discovered what was causing the error, could you let me know what you think the problem is so that I could have a look into it too?
Thanks,
Stos
Hi Roger,
I've made some minor tweaks to this to make it a bit more extensible - basically some optional integration with embed_extender so that uploaded audio/video can be embedded elsewhere within the site.
You don't have a repository listed so I don't know where I can push changes for review. I've got it on github here: https://github.com/beck24/veeplay
Please check it out, I think it's worthwhile functionality.
@Matt Thanks Matt. Sorry, I've had some personal issues to attend to, so haven't been around for a while.
@stoz IOS won't accept a virtual video link. At least thats is how it is manifesting it with me.
Hi
@matt it just works for audio files as mp3 but mp4. I've tested both veeplay from github or plugins page. What could I check in order to make it work?
Thanks in advance!
@Rip: What are you doing to improve on this wonderful plugin. It should be able to have a separate page to display all site videos.Ability to play other video formats will do good.
