@lord55 good to know. The automagic plugin did a core adjustment and if you didn't revert that adjustment, this plugin isn't working. When you upgraded to 1.6.1 you have overwritten the core hack of the automagic plugin and things are working again as they should be. Good luck with your site!

This plugin provides single login and some profile and widget integration. Vanilla remains a separate application and has its own separate theme system.

@slyhne : a new version of this plugin is coming soon and it will resolve the river problem.
When you  'approve' a poll in administrator area it means that this one is displayed in home page.
So, if you want to delete the existing poll display it and then you can delete it.
We're sorry for the current translation but this problem will be solved when the new version of the plugin will be released.

Anyway:
'Yes' => when the poll must be inserted in home page
'No'=> when the poll has been created by an user but it still needs to be approved by the admin (when the poll is set as 'No' it will be displayed always in the admin area for the approval)
'Read'=>When the admin reads the poll but it isn't necessary to insert that one in home page. Then it won't be displayed in admin area for the approval.

If you have any other problems about it please report us.

Hey, Cash, on linux FF the embedded videos were not respecting the Elgg facebox dimming and were "popping through" the top layer; adding "wmode='opaque'" to all the embed tags in lib/embedvideo.php videoembed_add_object() seems to have cleared it up for me; however, I'm not an embed expert, though, so we'll see if that's an adequate solution.

Please let me know if you'd like me to send you a patch.

Can't get any Teacher Tube videos working at all using Elgg 1.7.1 and Embed Video 1.8.  I get "Unable to parse teacher tube url".  YouTube and blip.tv work fine.  Has Teacher Tube changed their embed source after the the last plugin was released? A sample of embed source I tested was:

just an update on the above issue... ok when the faq gets added to the footer links the whole footer gets moved down and basically breaks the theme.. any help would be appreciated ...

@madshark still have two FAQ links in the footer?? I don't know where that came from. As for the make up, I had the same problem, in combination with the external pages plugin it should work, else adjust te settings in the css.php file. To make it fit in your theme.

Sorry if you have to do this yourself but unfortunatly with al the theming feature of Elgg I can't test it on every makeup ;)

i tried everything i knew to try to set it right and then gave up... there were two links in the footer file removing one got rid of the second link. But the display option is still an issue. does the plugin have any css overrides ??

I seem to have lost the ability to view site polls in the widget (just my own) or is it my site? I have been reordereing some plugins, so maybe something else is going on. But I only am able to edit the widget to see my own polls at the moment

@malaga jack: I have added the 'latest polls' widget, you are referring to, back into the latest version of this plugin (1.4).  My wellmeaning collaborator Webgalli, was apparently working with an older version of my original Poll plug-in, when he modded it for Elgg 1.5. I think that is why it was missing, I took the latest files he sent and posted them not noticing it. He's done awesome work though. The latest build also has river support for voting (thanks to Webgalli). 

Anyway, I also have updated the paging on the Friend's Polls & Site Polls pages so it should now work properly. It will show 10 polls/page and has a total retrieval limit of 999.

New to Elgg... this demo was incredibly helpful but there is one thing I don't understand. When the two new fields get added to the main register page, they show up outside the <form> </form> tags (presumably because they are added to the bottom of the page), so their values don't seem to actually get submitted when the register form is submitted.

Anyone can tell me what I might be doing wrong?

@elggboy & goofbucket: If you are running Elgg 1.5 (the latest version), there are some compatibility issues that I am still working on resolving. My apologies for the delayed response. I have been tied up finishing the elgg implementation my employer assigned me..

@elggboy & goofbucket: I figured out the issue with the group options not showing and have fixed it in the latest version of this plugin as well as the new one I have released for Elgg 1.5.

If you are using Elgg 1.5, please download the versions of the simple poll plugin & poll extended plugin which I have created for use with the new version of Elgg. Otherwise, your results may vary.

• Show results (the link command to open the results pane)

That's all for now...

I am also working on a version of my "Poll Extended" plugin that will be compatible with elgg 1.5, however it isn't completed yet.

I have a confict with the profile_nagger progress bar and the % bar.  The poll plugin will now shift the page elements to the right.  Any idea on fixing would be great as I love the plugin.

Great plugin. I am trying to see how i can integrate poll into blog and group discussion. Any input?

@sadistic intent: Since my 'poll' plugin is actually loosely based on the 'blog' plugin, I am not sure how well they will integrate with one another or how an interface to facilitate that would look. I'll give some thought to it, though.

@ash & @elggboy: I've addressed the 'blog' integration issue above. As for group integration, I do have an idea of how that might be possible. It is a reasonably meaty modification, however, so this isn't something I'll be getting to immediately. @everyone: Anyone out there that wants to take that task on, feel free..

Ok, I have this installed just fine.  I select one of my gmail accounts and it pulls in all my contacts just fine as well.  However, after i select the contacts i want and click the invite button i get the following error:

"Invalid Session ID"

Any thoughts on what could be causing this and how I may fix it?  Thankyou in advanced.

I had the same problem with "Invalid Session ID".  In my case, the problem comes from "$fop=fopen($file,"wb");" in file openinviter_base.php. It could not find the cookie directory. I changed the "cookie_path"=>'c:\\tmp'" in config.php. It worked.

Any ideas how to get this to add default notifications for the user to be enabled?
Diving into the notifications plugin code there's a method such as:

set_user_notification_setting($_SESSION['user']->guid, $method, ($personal[$method] == '1') ? true : false);

though I'm wondering what $method is?

It's great to have already a "built-in-friend" when you register and login for the first time.

I am a member of a fast growing elgg-site that uses the technique. But I suggest you make an arrangement with Jeroen, who has developed the login_redirector plugin. Because these two plugins clash. When both are enabled, I am thrown out of my site to get a blank page with an error message saying the page can't be found.

Personally, I can't part with login_redirector, it's such a useful plugin.

Can you do something about it, please?

sorry, the tag cloud won't work in the Index widgetization page. 

But when I add the Tag cloud widget on my  desktop or my profile it works fine. I can't figure out why this is happening...

Nice Plugin !! Great Work :)  While working with the plugin can see the field with Image upload option, tried video upload with this option but it doesn't turned up. Can you please advise if there is any other integration for video upload using this form plugin?

Using forms module have created continent, country, state select boxes. But now i need to populate countries based on the selection of a continent, as well populating state based on the selected country.Will it be possible to do it with Elgg Forms plugin?

Hi guys,

You can disable the ELGG-enforced stripping by disabling the HTMLAWD plugin, it took me awhile to figure that out, but it seems to work.

Then you can enable/disable certain tags with valid_elements and extended_valid_elements the longtext.php file explained somewhere in the comments. I used the xhtml valid stringset provided by tinymce.org make sure you rewrite the string so there are no enters/linebreaks in that string.
