they are only a few I can't find hype alive...if only you can help me find it

Here is a list of their plugins, https://github.com/hypeJunction?tab=repositories Hype Alive doesn't appear to be one of them. You could contact Ismayil Khayredinov at hypeJunction to see if it is available since it might be discontinued or only offered commercially.

I believe he's moved everything he doesn't want to support to private repos, you're out of luck unless you can convince him to send you a copy...

So 2 of my community websites are now almost entirely dependent upon Hype plugins that are suddenly no longer being supported or updated.... is that really the raw deal, here?

@David I don't think it's a "raw" deal unless you paid for them with an endless support contract. Nearly all of us are relying on code not being maintained by the original author; that's open source.

If the plugins were downloaded here, they should technically be GPL, and you could choose to host them on your own GitHub account. You should really ask nicely before doing so though.

I don't know how to maintain plugins.  I only know my website depends on what we chose, which we thought were stable, supported and on a decent production cycle. So to suddenly lose that....is sorta a raw deal for us... because we're not coders and we're not rich.  Open source or not... I'm of the opinion that if you build a following with your product.... you have, at least, a LITTLE obligation to give some notice before you drop support.... it's just the polite and considerate thing to do; because open source works both ways... he supports us... but we also spent years supporting what HE did as well, through spreading the word...or recommending his work.   But I guess many don't feel as I do. I understand.

It is a bummer, I'm sorry. The GPL license at least ensures you still have freedom to move forward.
